ABOUT US
The Ukrainian Crisis Action Group (UCAG) is an alliance of UK-Ukrainian organisations that came together during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the assistance of Caritas, to provide information and guidance about the support available to the vulnerable and those in need within the Ukrainian and wider community.
We understand that many are deeply concerned about the impact of Coronavirus and the effect that this is having on their lives in difficult and uncertain times, so our community is working together to connect and support each other.
We have created this online hub to provide useful information, advice and guidance which you can access here.
UCAG also provides volunteers, who may further guide you in understanding your way around your local services. They can be contacted via phone or through our online contact form.
WHAT IS THE INFORMATION HUB?
When you are struggling to cope and are worried about your wellbeing, it can be difficult to know exactly what kind of support you might need, where to find it and how to access it. it can be hard to know where to start… sometimes it can feel like there are too many options: at other times as if there aren’t enough.
Maybe you just need to talk, maybe you require longer-term support, maybe you just want to access information or a group. We can help and guide you in the right direction. What we can offer:
INFORMATION – we can provide comprehensive information about what organisations, services and activities are available in your local area as well as general information and tools to support wellbeing.
ACCESS – we will take time to talk to you to understand what your problems are and help you find your way around local services and programmes that can provide you with the help you need.
SUPPORT – we can provide practical support if you are struggling with day-to-day things like simply not having anything to eat, medical assistance, debt issues, a tenancy query, benefits, or loneliness, and guide you to specialist organisations that can help.
